Plexus
finally plexus is over… our band performed for the first time and i screwed up the one song whose vocals i was doing by singing really offkey… maybe it was coz i thought the bass volume was relatively lower than what i was used to during practice, and i couldnt capture its scale. but anyway. many people did not notice that and liked it. overall, the show was superhit. even rock non-lovers loved it. debate went pretty good too… i lost but they say i JUST lost. i participated in all on-stage events, except m4u (someone didnt allow me to), quiz and antakshari (i got out it in the prelims only). it was nice.
my project-stuff is going at a sickeningly low pace, and i really need to buck up, coz of the evenings consumed by annual function prep meetings and of course our band. today is the post-plexus holiday, and i intended to catch up on it today, but right now toh its akanksha’s birthday party… and i’ll get going now. bye!
busy me! ;)
sort of hectic these days… 8 to 4.30 clg and then jamming till 8.30. as such not THAT busy, but coz of cr-ship + lit committee + cultural committee + this being festive season in our clg + secret project 1 + secret project 2 + kvpy case etc., have been going extremely busy. the end result is i have been often ending up stressed out, and without any time for anyone, family or friends. and i sleep like logs these days. i dont know what i would do without the calender in my phone.
and i compered along with anubhav today for the independence day celebrations at clg (btw, happy independence day!), and the whole credit for this goes to anubhav, didnt do anything myself. but we were much praised by everybody, and got 2 more assignments, which is great.
and we have a rock show at plexus on 27th aug, and guess what, i am doing the vocals for lithium.
and the kvpy case is super exciting. they replied stupidly to my representation.
weekend vacation
first of all, belated happy friendship’s day to all of my friends! and please accept my apologies for not having wished sooner. the thing is i was enjoying a mini-break in shimla with my parents for 3 days and 2 nights. we went via the toy train (fantabulous experience!!!), and came back in the general compartment of himalayan queen (my worst train experience– exceedingly cramped, irritating and long)… however it was a lot of fun out there in shimla, though its such a small city… we roamed around the lonely outskirts of shimla and of course the mall, and ate a lot of junk food, and had lots of fancy beverages including at the oberoi hotel. and i taught papa and mumma the signature steps of heyy babyy and pappu cant dance saala, and did some fun monkey watching. all in all, a nice weekend.
