we have a path test on 20th, which is like, what? thursday? real close, and i have just 117 pages to read from robbins which i have never looked at before. followed by the marked questions from hm obv. and i went to browser with the good intention of reading patho in one of their comfy bean bag couches, and ended up reading meg cabot’s jinx. in short, i am screwed. and the only hope of salvation is: permission to officially attend stimulus (igmc’s fest). am keeping my fingers crossed.

and btw, i did a brilliant job at the court today. i mean, not exactly brilliant, there wasnt anything to get brilliant abt, but good. i mean i didnt screw it up badly. in fact did it pretty well. the judge was predisposed in favour of the respondents, but it went on nicely, and a notice has been issued to the kvpy ppl, which is great news. the next hearing is probably on 12 jan, and thats bad, coz i think i might have an exam that day… some end sem.

watched dostana today. theek thi. as in the gay bit got a bit over, but vaise theek thi. a few dialogues were hilarious (“foolo falo… chalo chhodo”). we were 16 frnds, so it was good. anubhav had a moment of inspiration and decided it would be a fun thing to tell if we danced in a theatre and so we experienced 2 nano seconds of adventure during a certain song, before the guard unceremoniously whisked us away. it was embarrassing, but fun.

after that i went to subway-35, and FINALLY tried shammi, which i did like, unlike my parents and frnds, followed by oven fresh, followed by ccd. and basically had a great time playing cow-and-bull. try it sometime… nice game.

its true, though i noticed it only a yr or two back, courtesy itika, that i really am quite self obsessed… as in, egotistic. and i practically broadcast my life… which is why, things happen.

friendship, weird thing… its weird, isnt it, the way you take to some random person like anything and he/she puts up with all your idiosyncracies. and the bond deepens and you start feeling you are the luckiest person on earth… and then there comes a time when there is some sort of miscommunication, causing misunderstandings, and the relationship gradually fades away into oblivion… and sometimes even worse, a sort of disliking. and you know what, it hurts. it hurts real bad. like a break up, only much less formal and hence much less final. a dull aching sadness.

thats some biochemists’ conference, being hosted by my insti. today was the opening ceremony with dr. apj abdul kalam as the chief guest. i was really excited abt his speech, but am afraid i fell pseudo-asleep halfway through it, since it didnt appear to be an enlightening speech… but whatever, it was good. especially the food after that. like really good. 4-5 types of cakes, mocktails, chaat, gulab jamun, doas, idli, sandwiches, a million snacks, coffee etc. loved it. may there be many such conferences in the days to come.
